This page prevents “member”, “registered firm”, “participant” and “contributor” from creating unintended legal or regulatory meaning.
1. Constitutional members
A constitutional member is a person entered in RMCA’s statutory register of members under its Articles. Membership carries the rights and duties stated in the Articles, including one member, one vote, but does not automatically create a programme status, public-register entry, commercial preference or authority to bind RMCA.
2. Programme applicants and participants
An applicant seeks a defined-scope FDRC or PSCR review. A participant is admitted under programme rules and contract. Participation is not statutory membership, ownership, regulatory authorisation, professional qualification or a guarantee.
3. Indexed entities
An indexed entity has a public-source record and may never have contacted RMCA. Indexing confers no title, right or status. Claiming administrative access remains separate.
4. Contributors, advisers and reviewers
A contributor, working-group participant, adviser or reviewer acts only under written scope. The title does not create statutory membership, employment, agency, fiduciary authority, signing authority or a right to decide a conflicted matter.
5. Public titles
Public titles must be accurate, current and accompanied by context. “Registered Firm” means shown on an RMCA programme register and does not mean registered or authorised by a statutory regulator. “Independent” is matter-specific and subject to conflicts.
6. No status transfer or commercial preference
Membership, funding, sponsorship, referral, service-provider relationship or founder connection does not transfer programme status or influence a reserved decision. Programme participants do not automatically become constitutional members.
7. Use of titles and marks
Titles and marks may be used only under current written authority and must link to the canonical page where required. Misleading use may result in correction, suspension, withdrawal or enforcement.
8. Enquiries
Membership and title enquiries may be sent to secretariat@rmca.org.uk.
